I get asked all the time: “How do I actually start a Loner session?” The rules make sense in theory, but sitting down with blank paper and dice can feel weirdly intimidating.

Said very well! This is a great roadmap to get started. It's a different kind of intimidation to start solo roleplaying, unlike with a table of folks, it's really easy to decide to walk away. But a step by step loop like this is perfect!

I received a printed copy of Cozy Fantasy for Christmas and on my repeat reading I noticed an editorial issue on page 24. Paragraph 3 has an odd beginning (!) and seems both out of place and redundant.

One thing that I would like to add is this:
The question you ask should always have an obstacle build it.
In your example the obstacles are „guarded“ and „alarm“.
Thus a question is always derived from a goal and a obstacle.
She wants to get it, BUT it is guarded.
She wants to get to the 12th floor, BUT there is an alarm.
Coming up with the Goal and the „But“ will help formulate the right question.
